Deadly Premonition seems to be picking up a bit of a second ground swell by grabbing some (unflattering) time on the Shacknews podcast Weekend Confirmed and now landing the cover of Game Developer Magazine. The game’s sold about 80,000 copies since its March release, which would be a paltry opening month for most games. So there must be a pretty devoted, taste-maker, outsider chic... 

I haven’t spent any time with the retail or beta versions of Starcraft 2, and I can barely recall having any sort of meaningful experience with the first Starcraft, so I’m not the best guy to ask. But doesn’t this sequel strike you as one of the more cynical releases in recent memory? It’s the game – albeit a reportedly sharpened, finely tuned version of that...

Sometimes I just don’t get a game. That’s not a bold statement, or even a very interesting one now that I think about it. It’s just what happens sometimes. Whatever underlying character or skill set that game has, it’s just not jumping out at me. Sometimes, like in the case of infamous, I’ll just ride out the experience because there’s nothing holding...
